Open Call: City Parade
The Tanztriennale kicks off with a city parade! We invite dance and music groups to join the parade and celebrate the diversity and power of dance.
Deadline for all submissions: April 24, 2026
Dance is part of our everyday lives. In studios and gyms, on theater forecourts, in clubs, on school playgrounds, in parks, backyards, at neighborhood and family festivals—in digital spaces, in viral videos, and on social media platforms. Dance connects, celebrates, challenges, and empowers.
The first Tanztriennale in Hamburg opens with a City Parade dedicated to dance and the people of this city. The Tanztriennale is seeking dance and music groups to bring shared moments of choreography, rhythm, and movement to the parade. The City Parade aims to bring together diverse dance cultures, generations, and communities. The City Parade brings our motto “Brave Moves. Courageous Joy.” to life.
When: Sunday, June 14, 2026, 2:00 p.m.
Start: Museum der Arbeit, End: Stadtpark Hamburg
