The pandemic was not the first time that venues and spaces for art and culture had to deal with the digital transformation and the resulting changes in artistic forms. More and more artists are already working with digital technologies and need new stages and support structures. At the same time, newly created infrastructures - equipment, program focus, training opportunities, or the knowledge and interest of the dramaturgy, technology, or press and public relations teams - make it possible for other artists to professionally embrace a new field, experiment with digital technologies and develop new formats.

In the professional workshop with media art curator and dramaturge Jeanne Charlotte Vogt and digital artist as well as programmer Gloria Schulz, we want to draw a practical resumé, collect which new possibilities have been created for artists, especially in Hamburg, and which should be developed in perspective. The results will be incorporated into a new platform called DOCK Hamburg, which is intended to support artists in the conception and development of performance with digital media or on the web: Inspire, share knowledge, point out resources and infrastructures and introduce possible accomplices.

We welcome the participation of colleagues who oversee and implement support infrastructures for digital creations and further develop infrastructures in institutions, especially theatres.
