After his acclaimed premiere of REQUIEM at the 2021 Summer Festival, Kyle Abraham and his company A.I.M. return to Hamburg. In the repertoire evening curated especially for Hamburg from older and brand new pieces, Abraham and his dancers present their unique style from a mixture of hip hop to ballet. Like no other choreographer, he combines a high standard of dance aesthetics with social-critical discourse and human stories. For this he is celebrated and invited in the dance world, among others on renowned stages such as the Lincoln Center and Kennedy Center, the Théâtre de la Ville in Paris or the Venice Biennale. Among the artists with whom he has collaborated are the musicians Sufjan Stevens and Beyoncé. The evening BIG RINGS / SHOW PONY / IF WE WERE A LOVE SONG / UPROOT: LOVE AND LEGACY combines humour, brilliance, tenderness and, above all, pure dance pleasure.
