Season Opening 22/23

October 5, 2022 marks the 40th anniversary to the day of the legendary occupation rehearsals by artists from Hamburg’s independent scene. The occupation of the old factory site and former alternative headquarters of the Deutsches Schauspielhaus still forms the foundation and spirit of what Kampnagel is today. The Kampnagel team would like to look back together with its local and international artists, diverse audiences, neighbors and colleagues, highlight what needs to be preserved, review history and initiate changes for the future – and celebrate as only Kampnagel celebrates in Hamburg. Look back into the future with us!
