Audiodescription and Touch Tour
The audio description and the sometimes accompanying touch tour are for blind and visually impaired audiences.
Audio description is used to describe what is happening on stage to blind and visually impaired audiences during the performance. This description is usually transmitted via wireless headphones, which are available free of charge at the entrance. Alternatively, there are performances where the audio description is built in as an artistic element live on stage for all to hear.
During the Touch Tour, blind and visually impaired visitors can feel the stage set, costumes and props before the performance and make contact with the performers. In this way, they receive contextual information that sighted visitors can access through visual perception. We invite you to use the touch tours if this is an access need of yours.
At Kampnagel, touch tours usually start 30-60 minutes before the show and are announce through the microphone in the foyer. The meeting point is the foyer. Touch tours are announced on the website beforehand and visitors can book a free ticket for them.
In German or English, as required, or depending on what is on offer. Information on registration on the respective page of the performance.
