Accessibility statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website of Kampnagel Internationale Kulturfabrik GmbH (hereinafter referred to as ‘Kampnagel’) published at www.kampnagel.de.

As a legal entity under private law within the meaning of Section 2 of the Hamburg Disability Equality Act (HmbBGG), Kampnagel endeavours to make its website and digital applications accessible. In doing so, we comply with the provisions of the HmbBGG and the Hamburg Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (HmbBITVO) for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2019/882.

Status of compliance with requirements

Based on the assessment described below, the website is partially compliant with the aforementioned requirements.

Testing procedure

The accessibility assessment is based on a self-assessment carried out on 5 June 2025 using the criteria of the harmonised standard EN 301 549 (WCAG 2.1 conformance level AA).

Non-accessible content

Below, we explain the content of our website that is currently not accessible. For each issue, we name the relevant success criterion according to the international guidelines for accessible web design (WCAG 2.1), describe the deficiency, indicate the planned timeframe for remediation, and refer to accessible alternatives.

  1. Keyboard operability of certain navigation and control elements (WCAG 2.1 — 2.1.1, 2.1.2). Parts of the navigation cannot be fully used via keyboard. We are gradually making accessible components available; the conversion is expected to be completed by 31 December 2025. As an accessible alternative, we offer ticket ordering by telephone.
  2. Alternative texts for images (WCAG 2.1 — 1.1.1). Some informative images in event announcements do not contain meaningful alternative texts. Our editorial guidelines have been supplemented; we will add missing alternative texts by 31 October 2025. Our event hotline is available to help if necessary.
  3. Ticket shop process – seat selection and forms (WCAG 2.1 – 1.3.1, 2.1.1, 4.1.2). The third-party module Tixly currently used is not fully compliant; only the provider can make adjustments. An accessible order form will be available from 31 October 2026, and the new seat selection system by 31 December 2026. In the meantime, we accept accessible orders by telephone or email.
  4. Colour contrasts of individual text elements (WCAG 2.1 — 1.4.3). Individual texts do not currently meet the required minimum contrast levels. We are revising our colour palette and will complete the adjustments by 30 June 2026

Indication of disproportionate burden

For the ticket shop process mentioned under No. 3, there is a temporary disproportionate burden in accordance with Section 2 (2) HmbBITVO until an accessible solution is provided.

Date of creation or last update of the accessibility statement
