The "supra"—the traditional Georgian feast—is a cornerstone of Georgian social life. Food, home-made wine, and polyphonic singing are essential elements, as is the ritual of the toast – a practice traditionally led by men. Over two evenings, author and director Nino Haratischwili invites the audience to encounter this tradition through a collage of texts from her novels and plays – reframed from a female perspective and critically examined. Four musicians from Georgia and three actresses from Germany and Georgia welcome you to the table: to eat, drink, sing, and immerse yourselves in their stories.
