Growing up in the 90s and early 2000s between Bravo, Viva, MTV, and casting shows like Popstars, Jesseline and her brother Johnny dream of having their own band. In PLAYBACK, they fulfill this wish: between recalls in show format and drawing call numbers in everyday bureaucratic life, they explore how visibility, belonging, and control work—in pop as well as in bureaucratic systems. After the acclaimed debut FRUIT OF JOY, PLAYBACK is the second production by the multidisciplinary Hamburg artist Jesseline Preach.
