At the heart of MOVIE NIGHT are short films by Syrian filmmakers that open up new perspectives and offer insights into experiences of war, flight, arrival, and everyday life. After the screening, the artists invite the audience to an open conversation – a space for dialogue, questions, and reflection.

The Prison / Director: Shaam Joli

Trapped in a nightmare of pain and abuse, a young woman desperately fights to reclaim her lost identity.

Die Entfremdung / Director: Rani Al Ali

With every step fleeing war and despair, a Syrian family carries the heavy burden of fear and longing for freedom.

Tufan / Director: Tarek Fares

Trapped behind enemy lines, a growing conflict within a soldier unit shatters their fragile hope for survival and unity.

Inside The Box / Director: Yazan Alnakdali

Despite a seemingly open society, refugees in Germany face painful prejudice and the crushing coldness of social exclusion.

The Fight Within / Director: Yazan Alnakdali

In the boxing ring, Omar battles not only his rival but also his fragile self-worth and the search for inner strength.
