In autumn 2024 the nationally unique teacher’s degree programme “Theatre education“ was launched. Based at the University of Hamburg and the Theatre Academy, it opens up a wide range of educational opportunities for future teachers as well as for pupils of all school levels. The symposium THEATER ZUKUNFT SCHULE (THEATRE FUTURE SCHOOL) focuses on the prospects of theatre in the school context. In three panels, theatre professionals from the fields of academia, art and education will discuss their questions, practices and visions for the future of theatre in schools.
