In 2018 the theatre collective andcompany&Co. dedicated itself to the theme of 1968 and as part of the international research went to Sofia. Only few know that in July 1968 young people from all over the world met in Sofia for the World Youth Festival and turned the city into a setting for the ’68 movements. andcompany&Co. and MOMO Theater Company browsed archives, interviewed witnesses and created happenings on location with a view of re-assessing the East-West relationship.

The German-Bulgarian cooperation resulted into the international coproduction of andcompany&Co. in co-operation with HAU Hebbel am Ufer Berlin, Künstlerhaus Mousonturm Frankfurt am Main, FFT Düsseldorf, ACT Festival Sofia, ARCHA Theater Prag und brut Wien, funded by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes and the Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Europa, Berlin.
