We’re Renovating – Kampnagel Remains Open

Starting in September 2026, the site will be renovated and expanded while operations continue. What’s changing will remain in flux: performances will continue in the halls, new spaces will be created, and the construction site will become part of a transformation that is already visible today.

During the first phase of construction – from November 2026 through mid-June 2028 – the following spaces will be available for events:

• Hall k6
• Foyer k6
• “Links vorbei”
• KX (80 seats)
• 6a (80 seats)

Depending on the format and by arrangement, the Peacetanbul restaurant and outdoor areas can also be included in the planning.

We view the renovation period not as a limitation, but as an opportunity to open up new perspectives on this special place. Whether it’s a conference, reception, workshop, symposium, or festival – we’ll work with you to develop the right setup for your event. THE PLACE

Kampnagel Hamburg, once an important production site for harbour cranes, now an international centre of contemporary representative art, is situated near the Alster, directly alongside the Osterbek Canal. The former factory offers a performance space for events and presentations, in which the enduring charm of a hanseatic industrial firm is combined with the energy and professionalism of a modern cultural firm.

THEATRE VISITS

Events and presentations can, of course, be combined with a theatre visit. Our repertoire ranges from top-class international guest plays to productions from young Hamburg artists and experimental shows in our Kampnagel Music Hall. We would be happy to talk to you about our current programme.

RESTAURANT

The PEACETANBUL restaurant is our creative and efficient restaurant, which delivers appropriate catering for every occasion. It combines classic cuisine with cross-cultural influences. The fare on offer ranges from finger food to a diverse buffet and a classic menu.
