EuropaCamp

For two days, EuropaCamp’s RETHINK. RELOAD? RECLAIM! will feature numerous lectures, panels, workshops, film screenings, theater- and performance formats about Europe by and with prominent representatives from the worlds of politics, science, art and culture, economics and media. The goal is to discuss the challenges currently facing the group of nations and, above all else, to reawaken interest in Europe. After all, the E.U. is more than just a bureaucratic apparatus.

p1: 10:00 - 12:30 (in German and English language) Visions-Workshop: »Europe 2025« »What kind of EU do you stand for?« Positioning yourself in a test is the first step to-wards developing a vision. The participants decide for themselves: Should the EU turn into something like a »United States of Europe«? Or should it resemble a partnership of convenience? Do they want 100% European decisions or rather no union at all? The scenarios are elaborated on in groups, with the results presented in a creative way at the end of the workshop. Ideas Workshop: New Super Power? Aspiration and Reality of European Foreign Policy
This workshop touches upon a broad range of topics from external trade and development policy to climate policy, it deals with the world’s crisis regions and relations with the EU neighbour countries, taking into account the diverse interests and traditions of the EU members. The participants prioritise by putting forward statements and trying to find supporters for »their« topics. They then jointly develop concrete suggestions: How should the EU act on the international level? The policy proposals are published through an online app and evaluated by the participants.
