In Kooperation mit Kunstverein in Hamburg: Peaches: Whose Jizz Is This?

Between visual art and rock show: The first solo exhibition by the queer feminist pop-icon Peaches!

To mark the 20-year stage anniversary of the musician and artist Peaches, the Summer Festival and the Kunstverein in Hamburg present different facets of the artistic universe of the queer feminist pop-ikon. The big Kampnagel stage will feature the world premiere of a futuristic stage happening (THERE'S ONLY ONE PEACH WITH THE HOLE IN THE MIDDLE ), she is presenting four club-evenings at KMH and is the anarchic vaudeville show SHABOOM!, while her first institutional solo show will open in the Kunstverein. WHOSE JIZZ IS THIS? takes Peaches’ many-sided work – including her musical productions and live performance – as a starting point for presenting sculptural, photographic, film and text works in an extensive exhibition. From her border-blurring perspective, Peaches explores the format of the classic »exhibition« and creates an interactive setting between live performance, visual art, rock show and historical overview while at the same time identifying the importance of her work for the contemporary, international discourse on queer feminism, gender and performance. For the opening night, there will be a special durational performance installation by Federica Dauri.
