Performers Keith Hennessy and Jassem Hindi (both of whom will be at HAMAMNESS) are among the few artists who can create ‘real magic’ through their performances. Their collaboration began with the piece TURBULENCE - A DANCE ABOUT ECONOMY, which opened the Kampnagel 2013 season. Their new project, CHRONIC, which will premiere during the LIVE ART Festival at Kampnagel combines dance, performance, installation, music, happenings, rituals and political activism. In the artistic fields of word exorcism, performance poesie and hate poems they create a score that attempts to shake up the established structures of power, exploitation, oppression and destruction in the world. Keith Hennessy and Jassem Hindi describe their work as poetic reaction to the economic system, as an anarchic-queer alternative plan for society, which despite all of the fierce attacks is as much a magnificent declaration of love to a world as it could be.
