Carolina Bianchi's production “The Cadela Força Trilogy: Chapter II – The Brotherhood” was nominated
In its 18th edition, the 35 best productions from 2025 were nominated for the nachtkritik-Theatertreffen. Among them is Carolina Bianchi's production “The Cadela Força Trilogy: Chapter II – The Brotherhood,” which was shown during our summer festival at Kampnagel.
"Carolina Bianchi's visually powerful reckoning with the past and present of patriarchal, misogynistic, and sexist power structures in the arts and culture industry is, for me, one of the strongest works of the season. With a furious mixture of research theater, lecture, ritual, and performance, she and her ensemble tackle a historically grown system of “brotherhood” that also has an impact in the theater—in canon, training, rehearsal contexts, and much more—by problematizing how certain narratives, modes of expression, and behaviors are constantly reproduced, thereby fostering environments of abuse of power and sexualized violence against women." This is the reasoning behind Theresa Schütz's nomination.
