From 13 to 20 July 2025, Kampnagel took part in a nationwide digital solidarity campaign initiated by Label Noir. The occasion is the death of Lorenz A., a 21-year-old who was fatally injured by at least five shots fired by a police officer on 20 April 2025. The exact circumstances remain unclear. The civil society initiative »Justice for Lorenz« is working for a full investigation, legal consequences, and a critical examination of institutional racism.

The film addresses racist police violence, colonial continuities in the justice and security systems, and the lack of societal reckoning with such cases in Germany.

WE DANCE ON NOAH’S BLOODY RAINBOW, based on a text by South African writer Monageng »Vice« Motshabi, explores a justice system built on colonial legacy. Set in post-Mandela Berlin in 2025, the film weaves in many references to Germany’s postcolonial history.
