VOYAGER SOUND ARCHIVE - Pre-order the record

VOYAGER SOUND ARCHIVE Pre-order Record

Kampnagel to Go and Listen to Again: The vinyl release for VOYAGER SOUND ARCHIVE #1 brings together sounds, atmospheres, and voices from inside the Kampnagel building before its renovation—a project that lets the sounds of the architecture resonate, sounds that will change and, at times, disappear as the construction process unfolds.

The starting point was a series of interviews with long-time Kampnagel associates, artists, neighbors, and staff members about their personal auditory memories of their work or visits to Kampnagel. Over the course of a season, the VOYAGER team collected sounds on the premises that the interviewees described as characteristic of this place – from the creaking of the bleachers to the slamming of heavy metal doors and the babble of voices in the foyer, to the clattering of windows set into vibration by the thumping bass in the kmh club.

The VOYAGER vinyl – which will be launched into the sky of an unwritten future aboard a rocket at the season’s opening as an acoustic time capsule – brings together these far-from-silent, personal testimonies—a polyphonic exploration of how we might remember the future.

The record can be pre-ordered here immediately, regardless of whether you attend the event.

The release, including the release event, is scheduled for early to mid-January 2027. You can pick up your pre-ordered record at the release event itself upon presentation of your receipt, or afterward during business hours at the Kampnagel box office.

Information about the release will be sent out in a timely manner.

The pre-order applies exclusively to the vinyl record. Admission to the VOYAGER event is not included and must be booked separately.
