Audio trail, diagolgues, audience discussions
27.02. – 02.03. / Foyer

Antje Pfundtner in Gesellschaft takes the TANZPLATTFORM DEUTSCHLAND 2014 as an occasion upon which to explore local dialogue cultures and to test out practices and methods for reflection and memory. In this format, based on an exchange of experiences and knowledge, the guests themselves form the archive. How and from what perspective do they exchange views on what they have seen? And what reverberations do their opinions cause? The ARCHIV DER AUFFÜHRUNGEN (PERFORMANCE ARCHIVE) focuses on the use and distribution of performances beyond the dominant methods of seeing, archiving and classifying. It inquires about the political implications of an international trade fair and audience fair, and concerns itself with the sensibilities and economies of those views coming together. Alongside the offer of different communication practices – in the form of dialogues, workshops and an audio trail – the archive of the International Performing Arts Masters Programme has invited DasArts from Amsterdam to present their highly-respected FEEDBACK method at the Tanzplattform. FEEDBACK has been developed as a structured, collective exchange process for large groups, in order to offer the most varied and productive possible feedback to artistic works. Some of these formats will be introduced and tested at the Tanzplattform Deutschland.

THE FUTURE OF DANCE – PANEL DISCUSSION

[Fr] 28.02. / 14:30-16:00 / Foyer

FUTURE OF DANCE searches for the potential of contemporary dance and performance in society. It observes the current situation, with regard to production conditions and aesthetic tendencies, through the glasses of the visionaries. From »oscillating between no more and still not« (taken from the foreword to Ungerufen: Tanz und Performance der Zukunft) they deduce utopias, strategies and prognoses. Sitting together on the panel are four experts, all of whom occupy important positions in the arts and are opinion leaders and point men.

NATIONALES PERFORMANCE NETZ (NPN) Workshop on funding opportunities for contemporary dance productions

[Fr] 28.02. / 16:00-18:00 / KX

The NPN promotes the exchange and distribution of contemporary dance productions. It supports German promoters, who put on dance productions from other countries. In order to increase the international presence of German dance professionals, the NPN also supports promoters abroad, who invite performances from German productions. Subsidising collaborations is also an element of the funding provision. The workshop presents NPN funding opportunities and gives tips on submitting an application.
