In their crime thriller debut “Tod an den Landungsbrücken”, Angélique and Andreas Kästner take us into the world of the port.A place where only a few really know their way around. Andreas Kästner is one of them, he was a chief inspector with the water police for many years. At the beginning of the thrilling story, a barge captain lies slain on the jetties.
Krischan Koch has completed the dozen. “Krieg der Seesterne” is volume 12 of his series of coastal crime novels. This time, the story is mighty mysterious: UFOs are spotted over Fredenbüll, cars race over the dyke, but no one is at the wheel, then a dead body lies in a crop circle.
In “Schlick” by Kester Schlenz and Jan Jepsen, Inspector Knudsen is under pressure: a serial killer is killing people connected to the harbor and then disappearing back into the Elbe. The Altona police suspect a small activist group. They have been fighting against the controversial deepening of the Elbe for years.
