In the webinar »How to be an Ally?« participants develop strategies and possible actions to support people affected by racism in their everyday lives. An open space critical of discrimination is created: Insecurities that white people experience when dealing with racism are reflected upon. It will be worked out how to act in concrete situations in order to act as an ally for persons of color in Germany. The webinar is primarily aimed at white people who have already dealt with the issue of racism. It will address individual questions and uncertainties that arise when dealing with racism in theory and in practice. Terms from critical racism theory will be clarified. The webinar is open to Black people and people of color. Trainers* will provide a trigger warning. The webinar will discuss situations in which persons of color have experienced racist violence.
