Branko Šimić

The monument of Husinski Rudar, miner of Husino from 1920, finishes his trek through Europe and describes his impressions and observations. A monument dressed in »disco mirrors« completes his last journey and talks about the strange exchange between East and West: how the big companies with their bright advertisements and their products move from West to East - and people move from East to West to work. He marvels at how workers have lost their vanguard and moved to the right. Why is the transition of Eastern European states from communism to capitalism never completed and stagnates in perpetual transition? The Husinski Rudar asks questions, but also offers perspectives and salvation that can only be found in the imagination.
