Horse[m]en
Past dates
In his most recent production, HORSE[M]EN, Mexican choreographer Jaciel Neri offers complex insight into Mexican culture by mashing together traditional live music and folk dance. HORSE[M]EN takes as its subject the iconography of the horse. In campaigns of conquest, the ridden horse represents the rider’s presumed leadership abilities. HORSE[M]EN is a sarcastic and funny dialogue about those self-described leaders or »horsemen« and societies’ recurring need to be led by them.
