Dagobert

Lukas Jäger aka Dagobert is the most postmodern confusion of the German-language pop world. The butcher's son and vegan from the Swiss canton of Aargau, who lives in Berlin, has shaken up the self-image of the cool indie scene people by inviting them into the no-go area of Schlager - without irony, that is, distance. Dagobert is not to be grasped, even the rifle on the cover of his new, fourth album »Jäger« turns out to be a branch on closer inspection. Musically, longing love hymns meet occult song pearls, synthesizers meet choirs, and that a piano ballad like »Ich will noch mal« is a setting of Friedrich Nietzsche's eternal return of the same is not surprising.
