»Die Kronzeugin« berichtet

Based on reports of Sayragul Sauytbay, who was imprisoned in Chinese camps, the German journalist Alexandra Cavelius has written the report »Die Kronzeugin«, which uses Sauytbay's life story to show the increasing importance of Xinjiang (Chinese: »New Frontier«) in Beijing's politics: Sayragul Sauytbay witnessed how thousands of Uyghurs were systematically tortured, raped and starved almost to death.
