I CALLED FOR HELP. ANIMAL SHRIEKS CAME BACK IN REPLY
‘Would you like to shoot me now? Somehow you are now trying to shift the blame. You said yourself that you’re not very good with numbers. Maybe I never became a ichthyologist. But the really big dreams came true. Berlin and all of that. And YOU are now judging me on MY life?’ Following THE EXTENDED – A HARBOUR TOUR at 2012’s International Summer Festival, director and Goldene-Zitronen legend Schorsch Kamerun is once again joining forces with actor and Tatort commissioner Fabian Hinrichs for a Kampnagel co-production. Hinrichs shines as a true ego-shooter of the German stage, most recently with his collaboration with René Pollesch. His production, ‘Ich schau dir in die Augen, gesellschaftlicher Verblendungszusammenhang!’ saw him nominated for Theaterheute magazine’s 2010 ‘Actor of the Year’ award. In their new piece, Hinrichs and Kamerun meet composer PC Nackt and dancers from Minsk for an epic performance interrupted by music and questions of how we determine ourselves and how we can escape the all-encompassing apple strudel.
