Upon the recommendation of Rabih Mroué: Two paths of life are crossing, when legendary Underground-film director Masao Adachi joins the Japanese Red Army (JRA) in Lebanon in the early 1970ies and becomes a father-figure for May Shigenobu – daughter of JRAs-founder Fusako Shigenobu. Eric Baudelaire interweaves the story with historical images of Tokyo and Beirut, following Adachis Fukeiron method in which landscape photographs demonstrate the omnipresence of the power of the state.
