Living between two continents is not only tiring but can threaten to pull you apart. SANDWICH SYNDROM transforms this highly personal but also collective experience into a series of four evenings – somewhere between debate and dance: Ivorian performer and choreographer Franck Edmond Yao (known for his work with Gintersdorfer/Klaßen and La Fleur) aka Gadakou la Star invites guests with everyday expertise to thoroughly explore the concept of identity between the European and African continents. This postcolonial, praxis oriented analysis will then be redirected towards the body and dance.
