Living between two continents is not only tiring but can threaten to pull you apart. SANDWICH SYNDROM transforms this highly personal but also collective experience into a series of four evenings – somewhere between debate and dance: Ivorian performer and choreographer Franck Edmond Yao (known for his work with Gintersdorfer/Klaßen and La Fleur) aka Gadakou la Star invites guests with everyday expertise to thoroughly explore the concept of identity between the European and African continents. This postcolonial, praxis-oriented analysis will then be redirected towards the body and dance.
