When intellect meets exceptional humorous quality and a subtle gift of observation, then it's time for "Friendly Fire", the joint podcast by the two jack-of-all-trades Oliver Polak and Micky Beisenherz. With one new episode per week, the two busy show and TV producers, (book) authors, comedians and presenters have gained a huge fan base that listens to the podcast's informal mind ping-pong with enthusiasm and on a regular basis. Between 24 May and 1 June, Polak and Beisenherz will bring their brilliant word duels live to the stage and condense them into "Friendly Fire: The Podcast Show". The three dates in Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Munich are guaranteed to leave no eye or seat dry, and on top of that you will return home with a multitude of clever thoughts.

Oliver Polak and Micky Beisenherz are friends. They have never been able to ruin that for each other. Their lives are different, their view of the world is shaped by their daily experiences and their desire to scratch the façade of the other. There is plenty of façade. And yet they are united by their love of music, art and nonsense. For each other. Where their conversations will lead them, they themselves know least of all. Having just jumped through the puddle together intellectually, they suddenly descend into the Marianas Trench of their existence, and the audience asks itself perplexed: Is this still a podcast - or am I secretly eavesdropping on a therapy session?

Together and separately, the two have already done more than enough. Beisenherz, probably one of the busiest authors in the German TV landscape, has not only helped comedians, broadcast formats and satirical programmes get on their feet time and again; as a presenter of talk shows that are to be taken very seriously, he also proves time and again that he knows how to lead any discussion round with aplomb - be it a humorous or a political one. Polak, on the other hand, is probably the most far-reaching and unusual stand-up comedian on the German-language scene - which doesn't stop him from inventing his own broadcast formats, writing Corona anthems or a novel about love. Or collecting Grimme Award nominations, as he is currently doing repeatedly for his talk show format "Gedankenpalast". Together they are not stronger, but somehow more - as their joint format "Das Lachen der Anderen" (The Laughter of Others) proved, for example, with which they won the German Television Prize along with other important nominations.

Nobody knows exactly what will happen on these three live evenings of "Friendly Fire", least of all they themselves. But that's exactly what adds to the charm and appeal of these events. Let's all be surprised and have enough tissues for all those tears of laughter.
