Fusion Dance Battle

Over 50 Countries, 6 Categories, 6 international Judges, 3 Days, 1 Live Battle. Welcome to THE DIGITAL FUSION DANCE BATTLE created by HipHop Academy Hamburg and Kampnagel Hamburg. To learn more about our mission check our Instagram-page! Dancers from all over the world and all different styles are invited to participate in one DIGITAL space. The battle takes place on June 26th - 28th via Instagram Live on @hiphop_academy_hh & @kampnagel_hamburg. We are thrilled to welcome world known artists and judges Babson (House), Ben Wichert (HipHop), Incredible Zigi (Afro Dance Styles), Lasseindra Ninja (Voguing), Mohammad Abbasi (Contemporary Fusion) and Ipeleng Merafe (Ballet). Rules

When does the Battle take place?

On the 26th of July at 5pm – 6pm* On the 27th of July at 5pm – 6pm On the 28th of July at 7pm – approx. 8pm *Check the Time in your country! 5pm is Central European Summer Time!

What happens on Friday the 26th of June?

At 5pm* our Host will announce the Preselection task over Instagram Live (@kampnagel_hamburg I @hiphopacademy_hamburg). You then have exactly 1 hour to film a 1-minute long Freestyle and upload this Video on your own Instagram-Account with the #fusiondancebattle. You then send us an Email to digitalfusionbattle[at]gmail.com with YOUR NAME, YOUR CATEGORY, THE LINK TO YOUR INSTAPROFILE. It is important, that you upload the Video on your Profile with the correct Hashtag and send us the Email! You have 1 hour for this!

What happens on Saturday the 27th of June?

At 5pm* our Host will announce the TOP 24 over Instagram Live (@kampnagel_hamburg I @hiphopacademy_hamburg). The TOP 24 will receive a second Pre-Selection Task and have exactly 1 hour to upload a second 1-minute long Freestyle Video on their Instagram Account with the #fusiondancebattle. As we know the TOP 24, you don’t need to send another Email.

What happens on Sunday, the 28th of June?

For the TOP 12 FINALISTS: You will meet with the 6 Judges in one digital platform (you will get briefed Sundaymorning which platform) and battle against eacht other. All the Top 12 Finalists and 6 Judges will be in in different countries in their own space and meet digitally live!!! This battle will be broadcasted over Instagram.

For the AUDIENCE: At 7pm* you can watch the Battle of the TOP12 Finalists over Instagram Live (@kampnagel_hamburg I @hiphop_academy_hamburg). *Check the Time in your country! 7pm is Central European Summer Time!

Do i have to register?

NO! You dont have to register! Just be in the Instagram Livestream on Friday, the 26th at 7pm*. *Check the Time in your country! 7pm is Central European Summer Time!What do i need? • A stable Internet connection on all 3 days between 5pm* and 6pm (The TOP12 finalists will have a tecnical rehearsal on Sunday in the morning and need stable Internet connection there as well) • You need to make your Instagram account public for the weekend for the judges to be able to see the uploaded videos. (If you, for personal reasons, don’t want to do this, please contact us before Friday, the 26th)
