In an introductory Talk for COLLECTIVE JUMPS dance critic Gabriele Wittmann will discuss the phenomenon of the ‘Spring’. Taking Hannah Arendt’s text ‘On Revolution’ as her starting point, she will analyse the relationship between aesthetic appearances of these dancing characters and the social and political uprisings of the 20th century.
