On the second day of the book fair, the Fasiathek will open the space for a cosy meeting and conversation with snacks and drinks. It thus invites all visitors to the book fair to get to know the project and the premises - but also to take away something about the state of black literature today! The Fasiathek is a cooperation partner of the Performative Book Fair. As a learning centre with a reference library, as a living room for the Black Hamburg community, the Fasiathek opened its doors a good year ago, initiated by the association Arca Afrikanisches Bildungszentrum e.V. It was named after the activist and protest singer Fasia Jansen. Since then, many people have been volunteering their time and work here to build the archive and welcome everyone in Hamburg to learn about and engage with history from a Black, African, Afro-German and Afro-Diasporic perspective. The space is open, come and go as you please!

With Millicent Adjei / Arca Afrikanisches Bildungszentrum e.V. (moderator).
