Two thin white men are lying on white loungers, covered only with bath towels around their hips. One is reading a newspaper, the other is sleeping with his mouth open and wearing sunglasses.

With CRUISE TENTARE, God’s Entertainment invites all spectators to the sun deck! The walk-in spatial sculpture is a deconstructed cruise ship, including cabin life and a swimming pool. At the same time, every detail of the installation is a precise, artistic setting – and the swimming pool is actually a hand-woven carpet. Part of the immersive sculpture is a giant inflatable octopus. The octopus stands for "tentacular thinking"– an empathy for the world with all parts of the body, as tentacular and spectacularly speculative as the Viennese artists’ collective God’s Entertainment itself. The group has been working in changing line-ups in the fields of performance, happening, visual art and sound since 2006 and explores new forms of performance by combining live acts with installation elements.

The installation Cruise Tentare is a co-production of Urbane Künste Ruhr and Kulturforum Witten. With the kind support of the Cultural Department of the City of Vienna.
