The GCES is the largest national gathering for the creative economy, encompassing all 11 submarkets (music, film, books, press, architecture, broadcasting, performing arts, design, software and games, visual arts and advertising). The creative economy is a key driver of innovation and economic growth, fostering not only cultural but also economic and social progress. It generates new business models, technologies, and ways of working. The content of the summit focuses on the forces that already exist within the 11 submarkets and explores strategies to consolidate and promote them effectively. The programme is structured around four tracks: Work & Education, Urbanization & Sustainability, Policy and Technology & Innovation. In cooperation with Kampnagel.

Supported by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, k3d, the Coalition for Cultural and Creative Industries in Germany, the Cultural and Creative Industries Support Network and the Creative Industries Working Group of the Conference of Economics Ministers of the Federal States.
