The director Hamid Pourazari is seen as a key figure of the Iranian theater scene. In his piece, SEKUNDEN WIE JAHRE [SĀL SĀNIYE], he introduced memory images on stage with ten young female performers; the women address their social roles here. The piece is based on the fundamental belief that modern man must pass by, forget or repress many things in order to initiate change.

The new festival WUNDERN ÜBER TANAWO’, founded by Raphaela Rößler and Sören Faika, is devoted to different levels of contrasting perspectives from the outside and inside of today’s Iran. The festival is multidisciplinary and will be a guest at the Elbphilharmonie, Yoko, Affenfaust Galerie and Alabama for four days of events. The theater piece by the director Hamid Pourazari, SEKUNDEN WIE JAHRE [SÂL SÂNIYE], will take place at Kampnagel, as well as a discourse and a concert program.
