ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF THE POROUS NATURE OF CERTAIN BORDERS

This theatre evening is devoted to the attempt to be grown up. At the end of the study the situation resembles that of the boy in a short story by David Foster Wallace, who wants to jump from a 10m board on his 13th birthday. He stands in a queue and tries to look bored as everyone else does it. The time in the queue stretches out endlessly but then suddenly you’re standing on the board thinking it was definitely a mistake to want to jump. David Foster Wallace said of himself that he had the ability to translate almost everything in his spirit into something formidable. In his texts, the borderline sits between dependence and neuroses on the one side and loneliness and concentration on the other. We will discover how porous these borders are…
