With Isabella Rossellini, one of the great film actresses (»Blue Velvet«) and fashion icons returns to Kampnagel, where she last devoted herself to the colorful sex lives of animals in GREEN PORNO in 2014. Her new one-woman show now revolves around the relationship between animals and humans, whose commonality can already be seen in the expression of emotions, as Charles Darwin already observed. Rossellini's adorable show, with her usual comedic tone, shows how empathy is equally necessary for acting and studying animal behavior, and how acting can help us understand the mysterious nature of animals and their feelings. With humor and simple, innocent devices, she plays dogs, cats, chickens, peacocks and, of course, Charles Darwin on stage – conveying the art of acting as well as complex science. »During the covid lock down I had ample time to reflect about my passions for theater and science. These two interested of mine seemed to me distinct and separate: one satisfied my heart, the other the brain. Until I understood that they can be reconciled. Finally, my heart and my brain are reconciled and harmonious.« (Isabella Rossellini)

A second performance, originally scheduled for May 26, unfortunately has to be cancelled: Due to an engagement at the Cannes Film Festival, Isabella Rossellini can only come to Hamburg on May 27.
