NICOLE PEISL, FRANKFURT AM MAIN In her choreographic pieces, Forsythe Company dancer Nicole Peisl scrutinises the facts of a performance. She follows a phenomenological approach to space and presentation: What do we do when we show ourselves? What do we do when we look?

ADAM LINDER, BERLIN Adam Linder is interested in how choreography—as an organisation of movement, dialogue and critique—can be effective within and between multiple formats, contexts and »stages«. Therefore he endeavours to show his work in theatres, art spaces, on the internet and also to produce rap music.

MODJGAN HASHEMIAN, BERLIN An essential element of Modjgan Hashemian’s works is the quarrel with her Iranian roots and with political contextualisation. She focuses on interdisciplinary approaches and combines artistic multilingualism with her own biography.

JANA UNMÜßIG, BERLIN / HAMBURG Jana Unmüßig’s choreographic work positions itself in a space of complex simplicity. Her interest lies in processes of sight and perception, which are structured on an »empty« stage through physical presence, without extra soundscapes or set.

With PITCHING – originally a format used by the film industry, in which film projects are presented to potentially interested parties in a short time – ten choreographers have been selected by the jury to present their artistic works to international dance professionals in 20 minutes.
