Jens Rachut

The former school dropout, assistant cook and forest worker Jens Rachut returns with a completely revised reading from his book, »Der mit der Luft schimpft« (»The one who scolds with the air«, Ventil Verlag), which gathers more than 80 texts in German selected by himself (with beautiful drawings by Raoul Doré). They provide an insight into the literary quality of his work: as an actor, radio playwright and as a musician in legendary bands such as Angeschissen, Blumen am Arsch der Hölle, Dackelblut, Alte Sau and Oma Hans, Rachut's idiosyncratic, pleasantly cryptic lyrics have had a significant and lasting influence on the language of German punk (and everyone who came into contact with it). On stage Rachut is joined by musician Thomas Wenzel (Die Sterne, Die Goldenen Zitronen).
