Kampnagel invites you to a dialogue

Dear people of the independent performing arts community in Hamburg,

We would like to stay in dialogue with you and there are new occasions for exchange with you. That's why we cordially invite you to join us.

Firstly, we would like to give you an update on the upcoming architecture process at Kampnagel. Just over a year after our info meetings last winter, we are now looking more concretely at the planning of the programme during the construction phases. Kampnagel will be renovated while the theatre is still open, with two construction phases in which different halls will be available. We are planning with the halls that can be used, with the grounds and the public space/alternative locations. We would like to inform you and discuss what this means for your projects at Kampnagel.

We receive similar questions from the scene every year regarding the allocation of LOIs for applications to the cultural authorities in November. We would like to make the conditions for producing at Kampnagel more transparent for you and clarify open questions. In this context, we also provide information about possible measures for access and about local networking opportunities, initiatives and offers in the area of access.

Another topic will be a brief update on the two large networks PIK and EBA, in which Kampnagel is involved in national and international accessibility networks.

Against the backdrop of the war in Israel and Gaza and the dynamics of the German discourse on the subject, many cultural institutions are currently in the situation of reflecting on their programme policy, positioning themselves and finding a way of dealing with the different perspectives. We would like to offer you a space for discussion and listen to any questions and opinions you may have.
