Born in 1971 in Graz, Austrian composer Klaus Lang is this year’s Composer in Residence. For Lang, music is a free acoustic object-in-itself. In his work, sound is not so much used as auditorily explored and »given the possibility to unfold its rich inherent beauty« (Lang).
After a presentation and talk on his own compositional work, Lang will present various pieces in two concerts with the Austrian Trio Amos and Swiss pianist Tamriko Kordzaia, with Lang himself playing the Harmonium. This portrait concert will also feature the premiere of a new composition, commissioned by klubkatarakt. Trio Amos consists of Sylvie Lacroix (flute), Michael Moser (violoncello) and Krassimir Sterev (accordion).
