The Parisian duo Bedouin Burger seamlessly combines Syrian and Lebanese folk with groundbreaking electronics to create compelling music: complex rhythms, stirring vocals, and driving beats unite the nomadic souls of the Bedouin with the nihilistic spirit of a fast-paced time. The duo consists of the Syrian singer and composer Lynn Adib and the Lebanese underground music pioneer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Zeid Hamdan. With their innovative fusion of Arabic poetry set to soulful, often nomadic-jazzy, and electronic beats from the Levant, they fill dance floors in clubs and concert halls worldwide. And with singles such as "Taht El Wared" (Among the Roses) and "Dabkehh", they have become rising stars in the electronic music scene from the Middle East, performing at the NPR Tiny Desk Concert and Global Fest in New York City. Now, they are set to perform at the Kampnagel Summer Festival, where DIARFEST following their concert will continue to showcase the party potential of the Arab cultural heritage. Founded by Hamburg artist Hanadi Chawaf and designer Osama Horani, it showcases art from the SWANA region (Southwest Asia and North Africa). At the summer festival, you are invited to dance to global beats by Hamburg-born Afghan DJ TAĪĪZ and Hamburg-based Egyptian DJ Wezza.
