Klimaströme is an art and research festival for children and young people that explores ecology and society across generations. Now in its third edition, the festival takes place at various locations throughout the city—and for the first time, also as part of the Summer Festival.

Curated by Kajan Luc, Caio Jacques, and Skadi Sarnoch, this year’s edition carries the motto “Everything flows together!” and focuses on the element of water as a symbol of diversity, solidarity, and climate action. The festival kicks off its two-day program in Avant-Garten with a water parade on the Binnenalster, ending at the Kampnagel grounds, where variety of performances and workshops will take place, all centered around the theme of water and created in collaboration with local artists and initiatives. Participants will choreograph dance performances, build floating sculptures, and develop their own water stories in feminist storytelling workshops (in German).
