Whether in literature, art, the media or music, artificial intelligence doesn’t respect the boundaries of human creativity. Machines can write music, compose texts, paint pictures. Can we exploit these capabilities, keeping them under human control – or will we reach a point at which computers surpass human creativity, maybe even rendering it obsolete? What space will then remain for the individualism, insubordination, and unpredictability that characterises artistic activity? A Kulturforum panel discussion.
