LEA MARTINI, BERLIN / AMSTERDAM Lea Martini is fascinated by movements and their extremes. She is currently exploring the phenomenon of the dance plagues, which folklore tells us broke out in Europe in the Middle Ages. She creates mostly collective choreographic performances, which tour Europe and the world.

VERENA BILLINGER & SEBASTIAN SCHULZ, DÜSSELDORF / FRANKFURT AM MAIN Verena Billinger and Sebastian Schulz deal with society and the staging thereof while focusing on the role of the body. They see its movements as vectors and signs of life, with which they model images, effects and affective areas of tension both on stage and in installations.

PUBLIC IN PRIVATE/CLÉMENT LAYES , BERLIN Clément Layes has developed a way of working, in which choreography, visual art and conceptual thought confront each other in an investigation of everyday objects. In 2008 he co-founded the company »Public in Private« with Jasna L. Vinovrški in Berlin.

With PITCHING – originally a format used by the film industry, in which film projects are presented to potentially interested parties in a short time – ten choreographers have been selected by the jury to present their artistic works to international dance professionals in 20 minutes.
