Since 2010, Little Annie and Paul Wallfisch have been regular guests at Kampnagel, looking at the bottom of life and love in smart songs. Most recently, they created the stage production 52 JOKERS in cooperation with No Wave film icon Beth B for the 2022 Summer Festival and will now perform pieces from that evening, complemented by Beth B videos as well as songs from their extensive repertoire and brand-new ones Annie wrote on the beach in Miami. Paul Wallfisch, composer, curator (currently: Volkstheater Wien) and almost-all-round virtuoso Wallfisch plays the piano; Pamelia Stickney, one of the world's best-known theremin players, lets her hands float through the air; and with Little Annie, music history itself is on stage: since she was 16 years old in the 70s and woke up Frank Zappa with her atonal punk band Annie and the Asexuals in New York, she has published several books as a writer, has shown exhibitions as a painter, and recorded dozens of albums defined by her most beautiful voice, characteristically formed by whiskey and smoke. Experiencing Annie live always feels like crashing with your best friend in the most memorable and positive way.
