Hamburg-based sisters, Leau and Naomz, form the dynamic DJ duo CHO ROOM. Together, they’ve established SONIC—a vibrant community platform and club series empowering Black electronic music. This pulsating event now unfolds at Summer Festival, immediately following the debut of Ace Tee’s stage play, UPSIDE DOWN, in the adjacent hall.

CHO ROOM curates a scintillating line-up headlined by Tailor Jae, celebrated for her swift mixes and vigorous sets, echoing the dubstep and grime vibes of her East London roots. A Mixmag DJ Competition winner, Tailor Jae has graced the stages of Boiler Room and Hör Berlin, and she commands the airwaves with her own show on Rinse FM. Joining the sonic celebration is Malengo, a Berlin-based auditory alchemist who weaves Congolese and Afro-Caribbean rhythms into a tapestry of flawless club beats. Sharing the spotlight is Hamburg’s own Chinyere, an artist whose pulse is synchronized with the beats of Sghubu and Gqom.
