The finest club atmosphere, Mexican art, cooking and kitsch, the visual, the discursive and the musical – that’s MEXICAN SPIRIT. In collaboration with Kampnagel German-Mexican choreographer Yolanda Gutiérrez creates a festival center for KONTEXT MEXICO, opening up a space that allows visitors to search for the senses and for an understanding of modern, alternative Mexico. Before each performance, Mexican guests -- journalists, filmmakers and activists – discuss controversial, current issues related to their country’s society, culture and politics in the setting of a cockfight arena.
