Mallika Taneja

Mallika Taneja is part of a new generation of artists in New Delhi. Two years ago she had a breakthrough with her solo, »Be Careful«, which dealt with the absurdity of Indian rules of behavior for women. The point of departure for SORRY FOR THE INTERRUPTION was the moment in which she realized how little she could remember her deceased mother. In the piece, she stands on stage with actor Shubham and both try to put a story, an incident or an admission into words while their bodies take powerful steps, putting up resistance to their verbal failure.
